# The search results don't include the fields I need
The first thing you need to be sure of is that the fields you need to fetch are available in the index that you're using. If the fields are already indexed, they should also be configured (opens new window) as searchable fields in the Manage Searchability & Displayability section of the Constructor.io dashboard.
# The search results don't include sorting options
The sort_options array in the search results should include some specific options to provide sorting functionality. If this array is empty, you need to contact constrcutor.io support to create custom sort options. Please check sort options documentation (opens new window) to see the details.
